Our cheder runs on the first and third Shabbat each month between February and November from 12:00noon to 2:00pm. Dates are as shown on the Services page.

Our classes for children aged 6 to 13 are run on a two year rotation with the children divided into three classes based on age and ability. Subjects include Hebrew, Festivals, Bible, Ethics and Values and History. As well as workbooks, which are provided, students use a range of resources including multimedia to reinforce their learning.

An information session on our Cheder program by the Cheder Director, Fiona Leonard and Cantor David Bentley will be conducted at the Coorparoo School of Arts on Saturday 17th January, 2009 from 12:30 - 2:00pm. This will be of particular interest to families with a Bar / Bat Mitzvah occurring in the next 2 - 3 years as now is the time to start planning.
